Square beds on the lawn

In autumn 2012, we started to rearrange the mother plant field. The latter comprised an area of 960 m^2.  and  was  planted with a wide variety of perennials and grasses for propagation and  testing. We tested new species and combinations of plants. With years, the maintenance of the field became more and more demanding. On the other hand, different needs emerged with regard to the development of the nursery. Consequently, we rearranged a part of the field into a lawn with 8 square fields with a size of 9 m² in order to show 8 different styles and combinations of perennials and bulbs. These combinations are rearranged every 2 to 3 years with the aim to present new perennials and new planting combinations.
